browserchoice et MàJ

Pour les utilisateurs comme moi qui ne sont pas encore passés à Firefox (j'aime bien moi IE8), je vous recommande de configurer les MàJ de XP en :

"Télécharger automatiquement les MàJ sans les installer et avertir lorsqu'elles sont prêtes à être installées"

Lorsqu'elles sont téléchargées, souris droite sur l'icône (à coté de l'horloge) et sélectionnez "personnalisées"

Décochez " màj KB976002" et cochez "ne plus me proposer"

Cette MàJ vous installe "Browserchoice.exe", un éxécutable qui ouvre une page internet et vous propose un choix de navigateurs. Il semblerait que c'est une loi européenne !!!

Je l'ai désinstallée ainsi : (ne peux pas se supprimer par "ajout-suppression de programmes)

* Suppression du fichier "browserchoice.exe" dans "c:/windows/system32"
* Suppression du raccourci sur le bureau
* Recherche et suppression de toutes les clés "browserchoice" dans le registre
* Recherche et suppression de toutes les clés "KB976002" dans le registre

Si un Helper veut apporter des précisions / corrections sur la méthode, elles seront les bienvenues. (surtout si ce sont des corrections, je ne suis pas un pro )

oui crosoft ne fait que se mettre à jour au niveau des lois.

Pour désinstaller une mise à jour.

Il suffit de :

Afficher les dossiers et fichiers cachés de windows :

Affichage des dossiers cachés:

• Ouvre le poste de travail
  
• Menu "Outils"
  
• "Option des dossiers"
  
• Rend-toi à l'onglet affichage .
  
• onglet "Affichage"
  
• Active la case "Afficher les fichiers et dossiers cachés".
  
• Désactive la case "Masquer les extensions des fichiers dont le type est connu".
  
• Désactive la case "Masquer les fichiers protégés du système d'exploitation".
  
• Cliques sur "Appliquer à tous les dossiers".
  

Se rendre dans le dossier : $NtUninstallKB976002$\spuninst puis de lancer spuninst.exe

Une fois fait ne pas oublier de recacher les dossiers.

Avec la console de récupération

"taper les commandes suivantes et valide par la touche Enter à chaque fois

Hmm donc c'est une maj obligatoire.

Je vais me renseigner.

Cette mise à jour ne peut être désinstallé.

La seule solution est de regarder dans msconfig si browserchoice.exe apparait, et fixer les lignes si ça apparait dans hijackthis

La page ne s'ouvre qu'une fois, ensuite il faut cliquer sur l'icone pour la revoir.
Cette mise à jour n'est pas génante en soi, un pop-up s'ouvre et c'est fini. Si on supprime l'icone, on ne sait même pas qu'elle est là. Toutefois, àa ma gave ces trucs qu'on t'installe sans t-on avis et que tu ne peut pas retirer. En fouillant un peu j'ai trouvé de fichier texte, je te mets un bout, si tu veux l'intégralité, demande et j'exhauserai.

En ce qui me concerne, je ne suis pas en mises à jour automatiques, ce qui fait que quand j'ai vu que cette mise à jour était disponible via Windows Update, je ne l'ai pas téléchargée/installée.

Comme je fais pas mal de dépannage familiale, j'avais envoyé un mail à toutes et tous leur expliquant comment ne pas télécharger cette mise à jour, mais je l'ai moi téléchargée pour "essai". Je sais je suis un peu maso !!! Mais j'aime bien

Maj désactivé en automatique aussi j aime bien géré ce que j'installe

via WUD le fichier n'est pas encore dispo

si on connait toutes les clés reg et processus installés il est possible de créer un fix pour supprimer cette chose en un clic de souris

j'ai testé sur WM WINDOWS XP HOME


La maj crée un point de restauration , étant la seule mise à jour effectué, sans avoir rebooté la vm, j'ai lancé la restauration systeme et browserchoice.exe n'était plus installé.
Après installation de la mise à jour, browserchoice.exe est activé au reboot du PC.
